Friends of Millennium Court Arts Centre

As a Friend of MCAC you will enrich your experience of the arts while supporting it to respond to artistic developments, creating new opportunities for artists and the public alike.

Becoming a Friend of MCAC is your way of experiencing free admission and invitations to an array of cultural, educational and social events.

In addition, you will receive 50% Friend discount on classes & workshops & in our Shop, and additional discounts on catalogues & Room Hire depending on which ‘Friend’ you become. Each successive category of Friend offers an even greater level of engagement with contemporary art, in a fresh venue accompanied by knowledgeable staff.

From Visitor to Volunteer

Are you looking for a dynamic volunteer position in the arts? Are you passionate about contemporary art, design, and architecture?

Become a Millennium Court Arts Centre Volunteer Tour Guide and provide educational and inspiring experiences for young people and adults at MCAC, Craigavon’s leading arts facility, and renowned contemporary arts centre.

MCAC Volunteer Tour Guides help connect people of all ages with the art and ideas of our time. Participants of our Volunteer Tour Guide training programme will explore ways to lead tours of both Gallery spaces, special exhibitions and facilitating workshops which accompany exhibition tours.

  • To become an MCAC Volunteer Tour Guide you should have an interest in contemporary arts, a dedication to sharing that enthusiasm and knowledge with the public, and be able to make a minimum commitment of six hours per month.

    MCAC offers both full and part time voluntary opportunities as well as seasonal holiday facilitation work, and facilitation placement schemes. The experience will be a valuable inclusion on your CV, will help you develop your knowledge and awareness of the arts, as well as improving your skills base including your communication and leadership skills and increasing your confidence.

    Furthermore you’ll get to meet people you’ll never have had the chance to meet, and perhaps even forge new close friendships that will last a lifetime.
