How to find usMCAC is conveniently located in the town centre of Portadown on William Street, just off High Street. Off the M1, take exit 11 to the M12 towards Armagh. Take the first Portadown town centre exit and follow the map. We are easily accessible by train (normal & enterprise) and bus. |
Car ParkingThere is street parking at the front of the centre and a car park at the end of William Street, with designated disabled parking. |

Access for disabled PatronsOur staff are delighted to provide special assistance, if required, to disabled and other patrons. Our entire facility is equipped for wheelchair access, including lifts and ramps, several accessible toilets and an induction loop system to assist patrons with hearing difficulties. This guide is available in large type and cassette upon request. |
Opening HoursTuesday - Thursday, 10:00 - 9:00 pm Please note: The use of mobile phones, pagers, photography, video equipment, food, drink and smoking are strictly prohibited in the galleries, except under MCAC supervision. All details in the Events Programme are correct at the time of going to print. MCAC reserves the right to alter the programme in the event of any unforeseen circumstances. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Visitors are asked not to touch or photograph the artworks without permission. |
Volunteers / IntershipsThe MCAC has opportunities for volunteers to help with exhibition openings, educational classes, workshops, family days and administrative duties. Paid and unpaid internships are also available in specific areas such as curatorial, education, verbal arts and multimedia. |
Other InformationArt LibraryMCAC is currently developing an Art Library, which includes all kinds of art books, magazines and other periodicals. Donations have already been made. To make your own donation of used or new library items, please call 028 3839 4415. RegistrationEnrolment for classes can be taken will be taken by mail, e-mail, telephone or by calling in to the arts centre. Please note, for all children’s classes and workshops, a parental consent form is necessary. CommentsWe value feedback from our customers. MCAC HireIn addition to the MCAC’s own programme of events, the Galleries, Education Rooms and Market Hall are available for public and private hire at reasonable rates. Organisations wishing to hire any of MCAC’s facilities should contact the Administrator at 028 3839 4415. Mailing ListThe MCAC operates a free mailing list for all patrons.
